Brief for Project Two: Multi Format Data Visualisation

For our second project this semester is it all about adapting complex information, clearly and beautifully across a range of media platforms.

The information we need to be ….. is about Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity.

My starting point: Learn what he theory actually is…

Albert Einstein’s general theory of relativity is one of the towering achievements of 20th-century physics. Published in 1916, it explains that what we perceive as the force of gravity in fact arises from the curvature of space and time. Einstein proposed that objects such as the sun and the Earth change this geometry.” – (https://www.newscientist.com/round-up/instant-expert-general-relativity/)

In 1905, Albert Einstein determined that the laws of physics are the same for all non-accelerating observers, and that the speed of light in a vacuum was independent of the motion of all observers. This was the theory of special relativity. It introduced a new framework for all of physics and proposed new concepts of space and time.Einstein then spent 10 years trying to include acceleration in the theory and published his theory of general relativity in 1915. In it, he determined that massive objects cause a distortion in space-time, which is felt as gravity.” – (http://www.space.com/17661-theory-general-relativity.html)
